Ink Stains III

Ink Stains III

A Poem by Brown Eyed Girl

III.  Acquiescence

Your ink
continues
stains my life
There is no hiding
from it
in the dark

Change my name
color my hair
Darken my eyes
Nothing hides
what's burning
inside

Every clean slate
eventually leads
to a bleeding pen
Whispering that
I have failed
again
I scream the truths
in my dreams
awakening myself
in sweat and tears
to cover them up again

But that hands slip out
From under
your holy cloth
And the words

grating
    rewind
        remind
Until again
I submit
unable to deny
that hate you
as I must
damned
as it will be
my love is

still
    always
        regretfully

unconditional

I love to read, I love to write. I have been a lot of places and done a lot of things. In that time I have found writing to be one of the most satisfying pastimes. I make no claims to being any good.. more..
