you and meA Poem by dovetailerso unlike our flesh, Love is unravaged by Time..you and me ... are we
so different now... you and
me? are not our
hearts and souls still
the same? yes...years
have come ...and
gone does our
heart not beat its
impassioned cadence in our
chests... when we
see each other... or speak... or if...by
chance... our
bodies touch? yes...we
are showing signs of Time’s
steady march... we rue
the time and opportunities lost...forever... but when
you look at me... do you
not still see the handsome lad you
wanted for your own? I see
your timeless beauty ...loved
in my youth... yielding
on my mother’s
couch... your
hungry lips devoured
my own... your
tongue dueled with
mine... your
breasts were pert and
pleasant... they
couldn’t be ...more
perfect... I kissed
the petals of your dewy
rose... I
breathed in its fragrance... and you
whispered in my ear... We ARE
the same... our
hearts still pound a lustful beat... is there
any doubt ...that
we still hunger? ...that
we still thirst? ...that
when we meet again you will
hold me in your hand... our
bodies will touch...at last... and we
will finish what we began back then? ... © 2010 dovetailerReviews
