dip in the moonlightA Poem by dovetailerperfect eveningdip in the moonlight water glistens in the moonlight.... a full moon gives the sand a silver sheen... the silence is deafening I feel the sand against my bare feet... feel it yield as I take each step... the night air is cool on my skin but your hand in mine is warm... fingers intertwined and hearts beat apace... we do not feel the need to speak about our day... being together is enough... touching is enough to make our spirits float the breeze... our footprints in the sand follow us wherever we go... like our shadow in the moonlight the sprite in you says ..."let's take a dip..." and in a blink you are naked... walking into the molten silver sea and melting from view... the boy in me follows... my clothes a trail from waters edge from where we stood... the water cools my hot skin and you emerge... like the Lady of the Lake... beauty silhouetted in moonlight... you reach for me... I near... we embrace… our lips meet as droplets kiss the water from whence they came... you enfold me with your limbs… submerge into our watery
womb... feel the water caress with silken fingers... with faces bedewed we whisper our need... our want... our quiet laughter resounds carried through the mist that rises around us... your body speaks to mine... mine responds the way it always does when you are this close... a promise of lust rises but waits... our eyes burn like stars burn in the darkness... we savor this moment together... alone... with the sea...the bright night sky and our pounding hearts... © 2010 dovetailerReviews
