a definition...

Love

 

love paralyzes

it overwhelms

it so distracts

makes body swell

helps us forgive

it makes us dream

we fear its loss

o’er everything

for mundane things

we give or take

we’d yield it all

for true love’s sake

it teaches us

and takes us in

does anything

to their hearts win

we jolt awake

and reach for them

our aching need

one kiss will stem

our body yearns

with lustful rush

a touch ..a taste

of blossom lush

it’s all we sense

it’s all we feel

our desperation

unfeigned and real

our pounding heart

and sweating palms

one touch of love

the tempest calms
