and afflicted me constantly.

everything was so ablaze in color

...sultry greens...lustful reds...dizzying yellows

music was soulful... passion-laden

food was sweeter...more savory

I was kinder...gentler...more attentive

It was that perfect...

...in love with you

 

I see you here...there...everywhere

in places where we’ve gone together

...places we’ve walked

...watched

...loved

I think of you often

when our songs play on the radio

I go to the perfume counter

...just to smell your scent..

you were that special

 

We shared everything.

We were a perfect fit...in every way

We were equal halves of an amazing whole

We always said we’d talk

before we walked away...

...you lied.

but I forgive you.

you knew I’d never let you go...

there was no other choice

that would not destroy

everyone we loved

you were the strong one...

I miss you terribly

Today I read and write so much loss, and such a very sad piece of a love that has gone, moved away and yet still holds your heart. Promises broken, but the break took strength, your words are sorrowful, but remember so much good.
