unrequited love

unrequited love

A Poem by dovetailer
"

the best of love never touched

"

...unrequited love...

I long for you and wonder

if we are doomed to worship

from a distance

Will this love we share be unrequited for

all our life?

Will here not be some chance

when we might finally

hold each other...

release all the love that is imprisoned

in our hearts?

I am sick with love; so full

that I would burst from the tiny prick

of a pin

Raw emotion seeps from my pores

like tears

when I weep

My love makes me

groan for release;

not that it is

heavy...

 or ponderous...

it is light and would ride the wind

to wherever you are

if that could be...

but it lingers here like a gift never sent...

having no place here...

homeless...

until sconced in your heart

O, how I wish I could be with you there...

to give and take everything that will sate

this crushing hunger

This love grows and grinds to powder

anything else

important to me...

one touch....one kiss... one blissful union

will restore the order of things

and make us

...complete...
