(Her mother died on April 2nd and her mother's birthday is on April 19th)

Yesterday sometime my great aunt Fran was coming home from dialysis(which is a thing she had to do for her kidneys) and when she was going up the front steps of the portch she fell and hit her head really bad. She was rushed to mcv or vcu(a hospital) in Richmond. She was bleeding inside her brain and she was put on life support. So last night my mother's boyfriend drove us up to the hospital and thats when my mother told me and my sister that shes dying. At around 2:30am this morning when we were still at the hospital they took her off the life support. She is still fighting, but we don't think it'll last more than a day or two, but sometime today they plan to bring her home and put her on hospice care. She can't see us, or move, or talk, but she can hear us. They told us that that'll be the last thing to go. This woman practically raised me and my sister and we lived with her for most of our lives.... My whole world litterally was torn out from under me in a matter of days... This just doesn't seem possible and my mind is telling me that taking her off the life support and what not was the right thing to do, but my heart is screaming no. I honestly don't know what else to say other than I love her too much for this to be real. She is the very song in my heart. She is every word to and the very melody to each lyric I sing. When we were in the hospital Myself and my mother sang for her. We sang the very song that was her mother's. Her mother use to sing it to my aunt Fran and her brothers and sisters when they were children. She taught it to them and then they taught it to my mother and her brothers and sisters and then they taught us. The song is called Give My Love To Nell. It goes...

Three years ago since Jack and Joe
Set sail across the foam
Each vowed a fortune he would gain
Before returning home
In one short year Jack gained his wealth
And started home that day
And when the pals shook hands to part
Poor Joe could only say.

Give my love to Nellie, Jack
And kiss her once for me
The sweetest girl in all this world
I'm sure you'll say is she
Treat her kindly Jack,
old pal
And tell her I am well
His parting words were don't forget
To give my love to Nell.

Three years had passed when Joe at last
Gained wealth enough for life
He started home across the foam
To make sweet Nell his wife
But when he learned that Jack and Nell
One year ago had wed
With sobs and threats he now regrets
That he had ever ever said.

They chanced to meet upon the street
Joe said, you selfish "ELF"
The very next girl I learn to love
I'll kiss her for myself
But all is fair in love, they say
As you have gone and wed
I'll not be angry with you pal
So once again he said.

She is loved by all her family. She is nosey, fiesty, stubborn, hard headed, and many other things.... but, she had a big heart. She always shared her opinion whether you wanted it or not. She had been in so much pain for most of her life, I think me and my sister both agree and in my sisters words, "If I had just one chance I would take her pain away even for one day so she would know what it felt like to be okay and be loved and happy." She is a fighter but, thats the Gullet family... They never go down without a fight and when it comes time to go theres always time for round two. She is and was a promised woman. She bared a heavy burrdon, but she never let it stop her. Everytime I sing from now on I'll be singing for her. She has earned her right to be in that heaven above with the man she believed in. She isn't suffering anymore and for that we are thankful. But, what God would be crazy enough to take her away now... so early in many of our lives is beyond me. She promised me and my sister that she would be there to dance at our weddings.... she made that promise years ago, but I always thought about that ever since she made that promise. We love her to the moon and back and even beyond that. Infinity and beyond. A love that shall never die. The song of songs.... The melody of all melody.... She is the very music..the very.. sound that has been carried through the air for centuries and centuries to come. I know many of you say that people feel like this all the time and say these sort of things, but this is a very speacial lady.... She is Fran. No matter what happens that will never change. If God is going to take her away from us so early in all our lives I swear to all that is great or good in this world he better take DAMN good care of her. Her whole life is a great story. Too big of story to fit into one box. I could go on and on, but all is well in what has already been shared. I love you Fran E. Angeletti.

I watched her draw her very last breaths. Part of me wants to say that the world just grew a bit darker and the other part wants to say it just grew brighter.
