We had to write a descriptive essay in English and I choose to do it on World War II

                   ‘Till the Last Shots Fired

The thunder of bombs and the ringing of gun shots. World War ll was a terrible path of destruction and chaos that turned the world upside down. The sounds that soilders would here. The pain that people felt throught out the war. The things that people saw.

The sounds that soilders heard left scars in their hearts. From the cries of the enemy and the innocent, to the sounds of guns and bombs. Enemies crying in pain from their wounds. Even though the soilders had to do what they did, they were still taking the lives of human beings. As they were taking the lives of innocents that are and were no different from them. Their cries seemed to go on for ages and practically became a song of everlasting sorrow. Then, the sounds of gun shots as they tore through the air and sky demolishing everything in its path. The bombs that seemed to leave bullet wounds in the Earth and fear in the eyes of those who wittnessed its terrors. Even the Earth cried out as the separate sides of the war stormed across the land.

The pain that people felt, through out this evil pandemic, did everything but, make them happy. Nurses and doctors did all they could to try and help the wounds of those who were ingured. Even though, they could never heal the wounds left in the minds of those unfortunate enough to participate. Soilders and innocents would hope and pray that the pain, that left them to drown in their on sweat and blood, would not mean that they died in vain. Pain of heart, pain of mind, and the pain and destruction of their pride. All of this left a hole of darkness and despair as deep as an ocean trench in our planet’s history. The shear thought of the dread and fear could drive a person mad enough to walk through a mine field blind folded.

The things that people saw shattered the very well being that we had left. The site of what man kind was capable of. Be it the body of a child gone limp in the arms of a crying soilder or just the site of it all. The pictures that were left beind in the minds of those who were there seemed to become a horror film that never ended. Even death couldn’t spare the very idea or thought or images from entering the mind of a wary wanderer. Across the seas and through out the lands, no matter where you seemed to be, it was seen as hell on Earth.

World War ll was a terrible path of destruction and chaos that turned the world upside down. The sounds that soilders would here. The pain that people felt throught out the war. The things that people saw. Its been 72 years since the beginning of World War ll and the world is still scarred by its memory. As long as we don’t forget this tragedy then, hopefully, history won’t be doomed to repeat itself.
