To a Marine

To a Marine

A Story by Paige L. Brooks (Call me Andy)
"

A dedication to my Grandfather who has diabetes and whos kidneys are failing. We call him Paw Paw and we love him so much and we couldn't stand to lose him.

"
A toast... to a Marine.
You fought well when you served,
You fight now to get back your pride.
You lost your license,
You're losing your health.
You want to be with your grand babies when we go out,
But it hurts to walk and you can't seem to find your way.
You struggle to hang on,
But you have just given up.
Although you still try to keep up.

You think losing these things,
Makes you less of a man.
Well Paw Paw I would have to disagree.
For you keep trying because inside you are still a Marine.
That Indian Blood you have inside you keeps you strong and mighty.
To me Paw Paw...
You are more than man now then you were yesterday.

I Love You Paw Paw.
