Dinner By CandlelightA Poem by dotingmintsA ripple of emotions in a short amount of words. Make of it what you will.Murmurs in the dust, wicked hands in lust, a twisted gaze for some, an unforgiving leer is a must. You'll have me for dinner, and I'll gladly be your sinner. Closer now, no time for seeming demure. Softer now, no time for being unsure, Faster now, no time for acting steady, Harder now, no rewards for the unready. Hushes in the air, Hasty kisses in a dare, a shaky goodbye for some, an unwillingness for you to share. You'll do away with me, And I'll hesitate to leave. Harder now, no rewards for the unready, Faster now, no time for acting steady, Softer now, no time for being unsure, Closer now, no time for seeming demure. He's got me in a snare, He's got me in a cage, He's got his hands all over my face, Over my sorrow, Over my horrors, Over all my vanilla innocence. Closer now, no time for seeming demure, Softer now, no time for being unsure, Faster now, no time for acting steady, Harder now, No rewards for the unready. He's got me, Harder now. He's got me, Faster now. He's got me, Softer now. He's got me, Closer. And closer... © 2011 dotingmintsAuthor's Note
