FOR MACK

FOR MACK

A Poem by Dori

FOR MACK

It is you that I have chose

My world to you I expose

There are no secrets I keep

For you, my love runs deep

So much kindness in your heart

Right from the very start

Until the bitter end

My life with you, I'll spend

But, please don't shut me out

Let me in, what is this all about?

Think before you speak

Maybe then I will not critique

We must work on US each day

It takes two, for it is not play

It hurts that you live so far

Just like the sun, moon and star

I miss you so very much

My body aches for your loving touch

No longer is it the way it used to be

Treated like a princess, so tenderly

I fell head over heals back then

Where did you go, way back when?

A goddess is what you thought of me

Your love I felt so easily

I guess complacensy has set in

It should be considered a deadly sin

Please, let us not grow apart

Be the man I knew from the start

I need the man you used to be

These changes I did not foresee

Not once did I question your love

I was number one, clear and above...
