BRAVE AND STRONG

BRAVE AND STRONG

A Poem by Dori

BRAVE AND STRONG
Independence
Day of celebration
Firefighters and veterans
Parades and picnics
Barbeques and beer balls
Chicken and potato salad
Corn on the cob
And toasted marshmellows
Young men and women
Fighting for freedom
Some come home
While other's are deployed
America's hero's
Brave and strong
Lady Liberty
Standing tall and proud
An explostion of
Fireworks and sparklers
A 21 gun salute
Taps from the bugle
Flags flying high
Old Glory
Red, white and blue
Time to reflect
On those before us
The 4th of July
Happy Birthday America!
