IMAGINED ENEMYA Poem by doreen cyrdark and my museThe winds are picking up, clouds are rolling in. The evening brings chills, dread fills me. Peircing screams from a shattered past. Crash in on me like the thunder above.
All the past comes rushing down like rain. wave after wave of terrifying flashes of pain. Shaken to my very depths, frozen in the fear. There's no escaping the insanityit brings.
Soaked in the torrential of emotions lived. The storm builds it's momentum, I cry out. I want to run, want to hide from the sounds. No where to go, I am sinking in the flood.
Please let this storm pass, let the fear leave me. Stop my need to lash out in revenge of my hurt. Stop me from attacking the imagined enemy. for it could be one more loss in reality.
