Others rush into love

Thinking they’ve got it right

Thinking the movies led them right

Believing in non existent

Convictions in vain

 

I used to be one of them

You came and saved me

I finally saw your way

Your way is the light

I realize the truth

 

Love cannot be rushed

It is best savored

Each moment is special

You do not ever rush

You do not ever give

What you’re not willing to lose

 

At first we may be clueless

Maybe fumbling around with kisses

But soon we’ll get it right

I now believe

Slowly but surely

You’ve got my heart
