Black Cat

Black Cat

A Poem by Shadin Manning

Outcast, black cat
Gazes upon the moon
Its abhorrent eyes reflecting your doom
Solitary isolation...
Sunlight deceased, depression increased
Your only solace found in the moonlight
Silver light scintillating

Feeding your famished soul
Food that'll never let you grow
Your false idea of photosynthesis

Slowly drifting you to psychosis...
