Lucy and I

Lucy and I

A Poem by Shadin Manning

Lucy devours my brain

Lucy makes me cry like the rain

Lucy inflicts all of my pain...

Lucy makes me tells all these lies

Lucy and I make all the babies cry

Lucy and I will rot with the flies...

Lucy will send my body to Hell

The thought of it rings my bell

Why have all my morals fell?

Lucy and I are essentially kin

Explains why we always sin

She lures me in with that menacing grin…

Lucy once lived in the sky

She was an angel in disguise

Her vanity led to her demise...

I loved it. It is different to the usual romance poems, or anyway, poems regarding loved ones.
Just one thing... it's "why have all my morals fallen" not "fell". But I understand that it was to keep with the rhyming scheme, so I suppose that would just be saved by your poetic license :)
Anyway, great poem!
Cheers.
