Lost Friendship

Lost Friendship

A Poem by Paul Okeke
"

To you all that care about friendship.Really have missed some important people in my life,my true friends that i really felt great affection for but now it all seems like a lost friendship.

"
I walked on past old lane
you might think am insane
i did it cause i was a lonely pain
surely one of this days past memories will be slain ed
and i will lose a friendship gain,
wish we could all be friends again
just like in our old aims
before our graduation gown swept us again
just like the hurricane
though what we've share together can't be drained
among us;our friendship desires and claims
all seems to be going lame.

My legs traveled and to all your heart it came
but you weren't there as the same
i have loosed a friendship game
all i wanted was to win&win for friendship fame
to put our friendly pictures on world frame
who can we put the blame
we only left our track for our daily dream
life has taken us separate with no explains
still my heart misses you all and complain
to you all, it's my heart you love contains
we lay our hands for each other when in pain
your assistance to me was like a daily protein
but now my friends are lost; who will intervene?
on me the housefly bugs on as i write on
wish you could all do that on me as one

Someone please give a friendship loan
my friendship memories are dying slow
don't call me a skank in skeleton
take me as your friendly apron
avoid my death for a ravage of lone
take me faster life is protean
and our living days are timed on.
Friends please come and dine with me
it's located at my inner heart friendly inn
you have seen my heart;oh what you've see is not sin
it's my heart like a dark ink
it's you friends; who stayed and left it stained
after we were divided like Abel and Cain
now i beg of you make it clean
and lets us be friends again......

                                  I LOVE YOU

Friendship is special and that it gives you good times to remember without it you would have no social life. The poem describes the importance of having someone to share emotions with and to have times with that person to remember forever. The poem also shows that forgivness is important as what would you become without friends

friendships are gifts of life; it is sad when we grow apart but we always have the memory when we are growing together

wishing you many real friends in your life

I had to decipher this somewhat as i read because at times the language was unclear and grammatically impulsive. However, at times it also seemed like this was a language that has its own separate existence - perhaps a kind of 'street' poetry; or maybe just in a vernacular..?
Having said that, it did not detract from my understanding of the poem. It is a deeply felt and somewhat melancholic piece of work; delving into the pain and soulfully longing for past friendship and lost influence. It portrays the importance of friendship such as this and is introspective in the way it deals with the issue.

PS. i do think it needs checking though, for mistakes and mis-appropriation of phrases and words.
