The Lighthouse

The Lighthouse

A Poem by donna

The lighthouse.
There you are, a tall figure in the distance. How old are you? What have you seen? Who have you guided with your light?
Surrounded by calm waters or crashing waves, you experience the same as I times of calm and storm. You guide others with your light and are selfless. A resting and nesting place for all types of bird.
How proud you stand there, tall and present yet so alone. Watching the sunset and waiting patiently for darkness to express your light.
Please shine your light to guide me on my boat of life.

This is a warm and enchanting poem. I really lked the way in which you portrayed a lighthouse as a guider of life.

Well written, very enjoyable.

Mark.
