Momma said be a good girl.
Do what I'm told.
Sit up straight.
Shut your mouth.
Listen to what I say.
Well I was a good girl.
Always tried my best to please.
Followed your rules,
I wasn't a tease
So why did it happen
over and over again?
Where were you Mom
when I was the girl
too young and naive
too easily lead.
Why weren't you my protector?
Why couldn't you see?
Was it maybe just maybe
you were once just like me?
Did you think it was normal
the things that he did?
Did those things happen to you
when you were a kid?
If so then how could it be
you would let those things
happen to me?
