bonds of the earth

bonds of the earth

A Poem by Don BeeKeeper
"

feeling - memory - world

"
your greatest feeling fills you
but for a moment
then it is gone
it takes so much more
away with it - you never had time to surrender
you never had that moment space
met with your being - a simple positioning
a wonder of the universe - how tenuous that moment
like a spear slicing into your side
but a miraculous healing takes place
and you are once again whole
but the memory of intense feeling
is suffocating
for a moment
then it is gone
it takes so much more
away with it - your collapse into sorrow or anger
your impending drop
it fell away with the bonds of the earth
when it gave up on your return

I write. I record. Often what I write is attempting to capture a moment in an almost photographic way - but not necessarily visually descriptive - more the shape than the colour. more..
