Who are you

Who are you

A Poem by Dominic Rosales
"

Simply, who are you?

"
Who are you?

Are you the little girl crying
hiding behind the door in the bathroom
Do you wish you were flying
high in the sky like a balloon

Are you the man who ponders
about your loss of a child
Do you ever wonder
and let your mind run wild

Are you the dog in tears
lying in the the middle of the street
Do you face your worst fears
as you can feel the suns heat

Are you the person writing
at your computer to the site
Do you ever give up fighting
when you know you lost the fight

Are you the words that speak
into the heart of your fans
Do you go out and seak
for the hidden bans

Are you the truth being said
to others in need that coo
Do you help them back into bed
and ask yourself, who are you?

Dedicated to those who have lost a love one or being.

I don't really know how to take this poem. I've read this a few times and it still just leaves me pondering. Which might be what you intended. I like how all of your poems, to me at least, seem to always address the reader. I like that, it's refreshing. Each stanza really just opens up a new door for me, a new way of thinking. The first stanza just hits me in the heart...because I really do imagine a little girl crying in a bathroom and that is just heart breaking. Keep up the great work!
