Was it meant to be?

And maybe it was never meant to be

But I can still taste your kiss on my lips

I can still feel the warmth of your embrace

Your scent is still embedded in my nostrils

And your voice still resonates in my ears

But what we had was beautiful

Even if it was never meant to be

you are very good at these short but thoughtful poems, they are poetically blunt, if that makes sense, and they give the reader more in that you dont get overwhelmed with a lot of thoughts, but you think deeply on what has been said...people can leave such an imprint on us sometimes right....

That makes complete sense. Thank you so much, that is a huge compliment. I enjoy writing some longer poems, but I do tend to feel like my strongest works are my shorter thoughts that I randomly scribble down!
