Just Too EasyA Poem by nicoleyoley781In the darkness I sit, Waiting for the sunrise to begin. My fingers are cold in my mittens. This must be the punishment for my sin. My sin defines me as I sit here and wait. I cannot escape being crushed by my thoughts. As the sun rises so does the weight, Of everything I’ve been taught. “It’s too soon” people say, Well what do they know? I drive back towards the freeway, Almost home. © 2018 nicoleyoley781Author's Note
