Pigeon Toed

Pigeon Toed

A Poem by Lo.li.taaHaze

Long, Loosely moving limbs
You can see all the worlds melancholy in her eyes.
Sweet pigeon toes, knees so bruised, lips chapped and bitten.
Want these lips pressed against you daddy?
You smell like summertime, hot dust and motor oil.
Watched my bad baby ride off without me, he'll be gone for so long,
But I know he'll make it back to me.
He's heaven. My prince come to take me away in his big muscle car.
Strong American boy, in your cowboy hat and blue jeans.
Just the two of us, riding into the sunset.
Oh baby the road can be so hard.
You got me goin' crazy.
misbehavin'
Bonnie and Clyde, my cult leader, your jazz singer.
James Dean and Natalie Wood, my rebel without a cause.
Crashing and burning at 24,
Succumbing to icy, watery fingers
beautiful Ophelia in her river grave.
Live fast, die young, be free.
Believe in the country America used to be.
Dress in leather, smoke too many cigarettes, love too hard
