There's a place on Fifth where the sidewalk ends
Where the cars can't see you coming

Today is a special day
Today two things end at the end of Fifth
Instead of 1

I start
The longest
The shortest
Walk of my life
The last

Or so I thought
In the end
Strength gave way to weakness
Or
Weakness gave way to strength

And I am here
Carrying on
And Fifth still ends with just a sidewalk
