The Years

The Years

A Poem by donny ingraham

Through the years

changes have come

crossing many rivers

most of which I've cried

trial after trail

war after war

the pictures painted in blood

my own

sacrifices made

bearing crosses

most were my own

seen through the eyes of a blind man

my many failures

despite gifts of sight

tomorrow I can never really see

never truly understand

today

still remains a mystery
