Life

Life

A Poem by donny ingraham

Life never truly lived

until death approaches

each moment lived

seems to be replayed

Life at that moment feels like a DVD

replaying for its last time

silence within the moment echoes

wishes unfulfilled

hopes that have never given birth

only at this moment

silence seems loudest

When death is near. I believe we see life with different eyes. Life does become a replay of desire and emotions. Your poem open the door to more poetry and more questions. A excellent poem.

This hits me in a strange way, it makes me want to ask why?? Why didn't those moments get filled and yet I look at my own life and see the similarity..lol.. it happens easy and fast ..
Until your left standing alone one day thinking about the "hopes that have never given birth"... I love it..xx
