Fences

Fences

A Poem by donny ingraham

Seen through fences
Razor wire everywhere
A bird takes flight
In that moment freedom is realized
The ability to move
To touch the world
Being more than a stranger looking upon it
The wish remains
But reality sets in
A man with a gun in the distance
Memories of home keeps him sane
Prayers are said for angels to watch over him

A powerful poem. Sometime when you have little good around you. You need to remember home and smiling faces. A very good ending to a excellent poem.
