SecretsA Poem by donny ingrahamSome secrets are too much to bear a skeleton that your closet just can’t keep if it gets revealed it would
destroy your present relationship destroying the only place
you call home A burden so great that you’re unable to look your
lover in the eyes a commitment you’ve made the promise to remain faithful that promise has been broken that act
of unfaithfulness is staring you in the face haunting
your mind The load is too great to bear upon your soul Would it be better not to let them know? Or would it be right
to hold the secret inside? lying to your lover secretly eating you up inside Would you want the act of
unfaithfulness to remain a secret? © 2011 donny ingraham |
