Star GazerA Poem by PrometheusA poem to the Universe
I lift my eyes to the heaven above.
I gaze at the stars devoid of love. Devoid of hate and so benign To you mankind looks for a sign. Foolish people full of doubt Hoping you can help them out Unwilling Concierges to humankind But have no clue as to your true design If stars could speak to us on Earth Would you tell of the Universe birth? Instead we seek to tell of love or wealth Mankind should be ashamed of itself So out of chaos, you were born And have no interest in Earth unadorned © 2020 Prometheus |
