At LossA Poem by Miss EvergreenThis is about the time I lost a close friend over the summer. He made me smile when no one else could. I cried for weeks, and still shed a tear. R.I.P. George. This is for you.I'm sinking Slowly My heart drops He's gone He won't come back The words are like A kick to the head "He's been in an accident" An accident... “And he's not coming home” Not coming home... The words ring in my ear My friend Only sixteen A careless driver took his life We'd been so close And now it stops So here I stand At the snowy gray stone That bears his name Dressed in black I'll put on a brave face Because he'd have wanted me to I'll carry on Though I know He won't be back. © 2012 Miss EvergreenReviews
