whiskey whispers

whiskey whispers

A Poem by Dan Means

And the whiskey whispered that her eyes were a match to the blue of the ocean that I love
and her hair was as black as the coal of the mine thats hidden from the light up above
Blinding your eyes with her sway and her stare
This girl is the devil and I don't even care
Fueled by summer breezes
With stronger winds her touch teases
I can't get past the way she looks at me

About
I feel their is a lack of identifiably American literature in my generation. I find fewer and fewer stories aching of youthful fearless energy. I humbley seek to write in that spirit and hopefully m.. more..
