That One Mistake

That One Mistake

A Poem by Daniel Herrera
"

Another, beautifully written poem by my friend Emory :) I consider this one the best so far.

"
Silence
No words
Glances
Heat
Now the regular routine between you and me
I think of what to say
But I can hardly speak
Things are different from how they were
The old memories and happy times are now all a blur
But that one mistake you made,
I will remember to this day
I miss the way it was before
I put up my walls over the open door
If only you would apologize
We could go back to how it was
One small spark
A little lie,
Was the hatred fire's cause
