![]() Zippo LightersA Poem by D. Mansfield
As I lay here, looking up at the dark sky, through the jungle gym bars,
Thinking "if I'd have finished school, I'd drive a nicer car" You wanna go for a ride in my car? They smile but don't slow down. Helium ballons touching the bottoms of the clouds, String, flying right behind, like a candy bar wrapper in a storm. Little Magic carpet in the drivewY, ready to go, Your robot wife, has a pink vibrator in her hand as she screams at you to wash the car. Your daughter burns her skin with a lighter You quit smoking so that you'll live. Zippo lighter, laying on the sofa. . . .. . . . . Used to pour lighter fluid om jeans Light it with a zippo, and run out in front of cars. . © 2025 D. MansfieldReviews
