![]() Wishing wellA Poem by D. Mansfield
I'm the shiney penny, at the bottom of the well.
Watching you as you wish, your life goes swell. Quarters and dimes, all around me here. My shine is forever, I want that to be clear. No one wishes on a penny, in a wishing well, I've been here long enough, in this well to tell. Quarters are for the big wishes, dimes just a plain wish, Pennys are for wishes, for little kids. Quarters come and quarters go, But I'm always down here Watching you from below. Sitting on the bottom of life's wishing well Giving people hope, I will never tell. © 2025 D. MansfieldReviews
