Lipstick all Gooey

Lipstick all Gooey

A Poem by D. Mansfield

She had mirrors for eyes,
Racetracks for hips.
Had the skin off my back,
under her fingertips.

She was an ice cube, melting
On a tropical beach.
Lipstick all gooey,
Always just out of reach.

Her hair was a fragrant, tropical storm.
Her tan a warm Aztec puddle,
Her breasts were barometers,
She was, Deep financial trouble.

read this title hoping for a pick me up. im still in the ICU got myself internet for a few a day. this gave me a good laugh. i thought of how you fall in love with a stranger on a holiday. it's a dramatic and darkly comical pièce. one that evokes a lot of thoughts about - what happened? what could have happened?
