Deep snow, shallow poetry

Deep snow, shallow poetry

A Poem by D. Mansfield

Midnight staring at fire
Winters harsh cold
Sneaking into my bones
Blowing under door
Outside howling,
Like never before.

First snow,
looming on the plaines.
Waiting to dump
Snow and freezing rain.

First big flakes
Landing now
By morning, my car
Will dissappear somehow.

Howling snow,
from the north will be adorning
And be waist high
In driveway, by midmorning.

Snow 3feet deep
Driveway 200 feet long,
No good at math
But this is just wrong.
