Narcotics perfect doseA Poem by D. Mansfield
The two way mirror, in the back of my eye
Allows me to see through, your ugly disguise. All shiney and warm you insinuate, Into my life, like it will not wait. I allow you to be near, but never close. Enjoy you like a narcotics perfect dose. Alone when I met you, alone I remain, To you I know, it's all the same. So enjoy the time, that's given to you Take what's offered, don't be blue. Your time will come, but not with me, I wish you well, and the world to see. © 2025 D. MansfieldReviews
