Life

A Poem by D. Mansfield

The next, your throwing the switch.
Life goes by, like a baseball pitched,
Ending with a "smack" in the web of the catchers mit.

You have captured the brevity of life so finely in this metaphorical gem, D... Excellent depiction and word choice. Thought provoking and insightful! Thank you for sharing, dear poet...

Most welcome always, D...
No truer words said. A nice little piece of brevity here. Time goes by in a flash.

Chris thank you so much for reading
I relate too much to this poem. A lot of life was over in a whack and a whoosh.
