Criminals "at large"

Criminals "at large"

A Poem by D. Mansfield

The people have spoken,
Gotten up out of their chairs.
One thirty A.M.
The outcome still up in the air.

Not sure I want to know
Who will be in charge.
It's all starting to come together
Like criminals "at large"

Two kinds of liars
Have taken the stage.
Both trying to tell me
how to behave.

It's lonely here in the middle,
Everyone is gone,
To one side or the other.
They think their reasons are strong.

I'm for America,
Whichever way it falls.
So take all your hate and gossip
Because it doesn't matter at all.

Sometimes we are undecided about who wins but we love our country all the same. This feeling was very well brought out by you in this poem. A universally relatable poem.
