60

60

A Poem by D. Mansfield

Sleeping in a hovel.
Brushing with bamboo.
Clothes are in tatters,
Shoes need some glue.

Glasses are broken.
It's hard to see.
Me body is poking out.,
For everyone to see.

If 60 is the new twenty,
Then I will take fifteen.
Because this s**t is for the birds.
I need more caffeine.

Caffeine makes everything better, even the most jaded a state. I really liked the way you wrote it. Very interesting!
