Words. .

Words. .

A Poem by D. Mansfield

Words are the wonders, of all the world
We spin them , change them, and make them twirl.
Words can be calculated, words can deny,
Then, those awful words, that make us cry.

Words can be mischievous, words can sooth,
Words can be misunderstood, they can be abused.
Words are the stitches, that hold together time.
Words so gentle, in a nursery rhyme.

We abuse them, we fail them, at every turn.
Why can't we humans, take heed and learn.
We have words for every emotion, words for when we lose.
Why don't we have better words for being confused?

We have words for prejudice, and words for hate,
We have words for being early, and arriving late.
With so many words flying around,
how is it that peace, can't be found?

You ask a question and I say there need to be alot more words used to find peaceful solutions. More words, less weapons. I like your composition here Danny. I enjoyed my visit.

An interesting journey into the complicated world of words. Words are a double edged sword. They can kill or give life. If used in the right spirit, words are sure to bring peace one day. You have written a beautiful poem with great rhyme, here. Kudos!
