1973

A Poem by D. Mansfield

Please, could you, remember me,
from playing catch, in 73.
Before the concerts, before the bars,
when we just dreamed, of driving cars.

Before the jobs, before the kids,
before we smoked, all those lids.
When my ears, were a little, too big for my head.
Before the bills, the addictions, and the Grateful Dead.

Might I I ask you, to remember me,
The way I was in 1973
