my emotions live in a cave.

my emotions live in a cave.

A Poem by D. Mansfield

I didn't finish college,
I don't drive a nice car.
have no house at the lake,
I spend too much time at the bar.

my marriage was a disaster
my child has reached middle age.
been years since he last spoke to me,
my emotions all live in a cave.

But yesterday, was sunny and 60,
one of life's bonus days,
today, I had the tremors again.
I hope those memories stay.
