FearA Poem by D. Mansfield
The ground beneath you is shifting,
It's like falling into a burning well. Stepping ever so slightly It becomes a liquid hell. It boils, it shifts, trapping you, As you fall to the ground you smell, the pungent odor around you, fear, has its own, special smell. To eaches imagination it breeds Until it sucks, all the feeling from your mind. Don't let it get, ahead of you You won't win, coming from behind. © 2025 D. MansfieldFeatured Review
