If minutes could be recycled

If minutes could be recycled

A Poem by D. Mansfield
"

"
If minutes could be recycled,
and used over again,
I'd find a way to be a banker,
and only to you would I lend.

If hours could be washed,
and hung out to dry
I would be your clothespins
Hanging them from the sky.

If days could be worn like jeans,
Worn a second time,
I'd wear them all with you,
Until they looked slick and shined.

Powerful work. You nailed it.

The great title caught my eye and the pull of it proved too strong to resist .. I'm glad you chose/created it .. because while the rest may now be history, I loved each of those three tiny pieces of it .. Neville

Me too my friend.

I was a soldier and I lost people when I was deployed. A hard pain to grasp. Were my last words kind and did I tell them, I loved them? Powerful and worthwhile poetry.
