Life Is Hard...Death Can Be Easy

Life Is Hard...Death Can Be Easy

A Poem by Danielle Landry

I speak to you

With a dying heart.

My life is falling apart

And I no longer have a voice in this world.

I fall faster and faster for you,

My heart begging to be freed.

I try to escape the lonely dark prison of my mind,

The guards frantically chasing me,

Swinging chains and shackles.

I run and run with nowhere to hide,

My dreams filled with dark corners.

I bide my time

As the poison I took

Takes its course through my body,

Commencing to settle into its’ new home.

I feel a sharp pain,

Slow and gruesome.

My eyes fill with tears.

My vision begins to blur

As my head gets cloudy,

And I begin to think about how I’ll never

Be able to feast my eyes upon your loving face again,

How I’ll never again be able to tell you I loveeeee….

This one is really good, I actually felt some suspense fill up but it was ended even quicker by the "*thud*" but it was really good

I have to admit Danielle ...."thud" surprised me
Other than that it was a great write..
sorta like you've tasted it...
very creative and well penned

Wasn't that hard a choice to make... poison or three words
And you still almost said them anyway... good sense of humor.

is a teasing - you mentioned taking poison to end the thought and still almost said it anyway... you are perhaps madly in love and I understand that feeling and surviving.
