You know I love you, You know I always will

Love is meant to be forever

I hold the rose in my hand,

Its thorns piecing against my skin,

Oh! How I love those eyes, that blush,

Captivated you hold me in those freckled cheeks.

I inhale the warmth of the breath you exhale,

The moment you step into my arms,

I whisper, “You make my world stand still,

You know I love you, you know I always will.”

Fate brought us together,

Love intertwined us forever,

You’d promised to hold my hand till the end,

Pacified, I lay in your lap, my eyes closed.

But when I wake up, you are nowhere to be found,

Staggering, I wander throughout, and stumble against a stone,

It feels cold as I stare at your name,

Anisha Jose (1984-2014).

“Happy Anniversary dear,” I swallow a lump in my throat,

I’d promised I’d be strong but somehow tears refuse to obey,

“Why don’t you say something?”

I beg you down on my knees.

A cool breeze sweeps across my face,

Faint but distinct, I can feel you say,

“Even though time stands still,

You know I love you, You know I always will.”

You won't believe how this poetry brought tears to my eyes...
I can relate so much...
The world is so hostile, it doesn't even care for our love... oh... sometimes I do think that, I don't belong to this hostile world.... No peace could be found here....
Your piece made me weep seriously... I just... I'm just speechless....
