Fall

Fall

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

Wandering throughout time
I fell upon a secret
Hidden beneath a barn
Within the borders
Of my mind

There I saw your eyes
Wide open
Fixed upon the specter

You sensuous finger
Touching my lips
Facing the door
An exit from here
A coward was born
Within me.

I was alone,
And you were with me.
