Shadows

Shadows

A Poem by Paul A. Lyons

Your dark eyes shout to the moon

Like shadows to the earth
Guided by angels flight
But headed towards Satan's bed

Today his game now slowly starts
A life time will amend
Bewared is the unborn child
Whose soul is bound not yet

So why now close this comes to you

Your dark eyes shout to the moon
Like shadows to the earth
Guided by angels flight
But headed towards Satan's bed

To crawl in the desert landing
As heat binds soul and mass
The sand becomes your carping
Until you drain at last

The truth blinds up in flash
To live is not a way in part
Death is always not the end
Life is never where you start

So why now close this comes to you

Death is always not the end

So why now close this comes to you

Life is never where you start

This is a powerful stanza. I like that you repeated it twice. I assume this is a poem about life and death.
